Blog, portfolio and other content

The blog

Posts are written in Posts as usual. The theme decides how they are listed and shown.

Blog archive (Theme Options → Blog, Portfolio & Shop → Blog archive) sets the blog page, categories, tags, authors and dates:

  • Layout: Grid, Masonry, Classic, List, Timeline, or Photo (title over the image), with Columns per device.
  • Show: date, author, categories, tags, comment count, reading time.
  • Excerpt length, the "Read more" link or button, the Featured image and its aspect ratio.
  • Category filter bar above the posts, and categories to leave out of the blog.
  • Pagination: page numbers, previous / next, a "Load more" button, or Infinite scroll.

Single post sets each post's page: layout and sidebar, share buttons, the author box, previous / next post, related posts, comments, a reading progress bar and the "Love" button (visitors' likes).

For a layout of your own, make a Single post or Blog archive template. The Blog, Blog News, Blog Teaser and Blog Slider elements show posts on any page.

The portfolio

Projects are in Portfolio in the dashboard, with categories and tags. Besides the text and featured image, each project has Details:

Field What it is for
Client Who the work was for.
Date Shown as typed, for example "Autumn 1404".
Project website A link to the result.
Task What you did, for example "Logo and website".
Gallery Images shown on the project page.
Video An Aparat, YouTube or Vimeo link, or a video file, shown instead of the featured image.

Portfolio archive in Theme Options sets the portfolio page: layout (grid, masonry, list, photo), columns, category filters (that can filter without reloading the page), the hover style, and pagination. Choose which page is the portfolio in Portfolio page, and change the address (/portfolio/) in Portfolio address base. Single project sets each project's page layout and related projects.

The Portfolio, Portfolio Grid, Portfolio Photo and Portfolio Slider elements show projects on any page.

Clients, testimonials, offers and slides

These lists in the dashboard feed the builder's elements, so you keep the content in one place and show it on many pages. Each has its own groups (categories), so an element can show one group only.

List Each item has Shown by
Clients Logo (the featured image), Website Clients, Clients Slider
Testimonials Photo, text, Role or company, Link, Rating Testimonials, Testimonials List, Testimonials Slider
Offers Image, text, Link, Button text, Thumbnail Offer Slider, Offer Slider Thumb
Slides Slide image, Caption, Link Slider

Every one of these elements can also show items typed into the element itself (Items from → Entered here), for a one-off list.

Lists you don't need can be removed from the dashboard: Theme Options → Global → Performance → Disable features.

The team (Our Team, Our Team List elements) is entered in the elements themselves.

  • Sidebars: besides the theme's sidebars, make as many as you need in Theme Options → Global → Sidebars → Custom sidebars. Then fill them in Appearance → Widgets, and choose one per page in Page Options or in the Sidebar element. Global → Sidebars also sets their width, style, and whether they stick while scrolling.
  • Widgets: the theme adds these, usable in any sidebar or footer column:
Widget What it shows
BlueTheme: Posts Latest, most commented or random posts with thumbnails.
BlueTheme: Comments Latest comments with avatars.
BlueTheme: Login A login form, or the visitor's account links once signed in.
BlueTheme: Menu A menu as links with arrows, lines or pills.
BlueTheme: Social Icons Your profiles from Theme Options → Social.
BlueTheme: Image Gallery A grid of images that open in a lightbox.
BlueTheme: Contact Details Address, phone, email (hidden from spam bots) and opening hours.

Forms

The Contact Form element shows a form made with Contact Form 7 or WPForms, styled like the theme (Theme Options → Global → Addons & integrations can turn that styling off). Install one of these plugins, make the form there, then pick it in the element.

Global → Popup contact form adds a contact button with a small form in a popup on every page, sent to your email, with no plugin needed.
